Jo Ann Allan
A lifelong commitment of exploring art forms through drawing, watercolors, calligraphy, art history, bookbinding, music, and philosophy eventually led to embroidery. Jo Ann Allan loves the dimensionality of fabric and thread and its infinite possibilities of color, pattern, and light. Poetry or an evocative phrase often serve as inspiration. Manipulating fabrics and digital photography in combination with paper is her current interest.

Ruth Bahri
A firm believer in fearless experimentation, self-apprenticed fibre artist Ruth Bahri creates expressionistic wall hangings that convey their message through her personal visual vocabulary and unique colour choices. She makes subtle use of layers, metallic fabrics, and embellishments. Animal prints often pop up in unexpected places. Her influences include Klee and Hundertwasser. Ruth has exhibited in group shows in Phoenix and Victoria.

Malcolm Barker
Originally from England, Malcolm grew up in central Ontario and now resides in Victoria BC. He is an artist with an eye for “something that is just a little different”. While having no formal training, Malcolm does have a passion for the arts in all its forms. He has worked in several mediums including sculpture, digital art, collage, and most recently in acrylic and mixed media. Malcolm’s artistic process is primarily experimental, and he continually pushes himself out of his comfort zone often with unique, inspiring results.

Lorna Bergen
Lorna Bergen has been an artist all her life, but has only in the past six years been dabbling in paint. She is inspired day to day, letting her thoughts take hold and transform from the conceptual to the concrete in an abstract manner, with an Asian flair. Lorna has been taught in multiple environments,including classes in Italy, which have all greatly influenced her creations; a dream of hers is to paint around the world.

Patti Bey
Patti’s love of painting began early in life developing today to an increasing passion to paint the visions given to her. She is mostly self-taught; with some community courses helping to build technique and confidence. In art Patti has found an expression of the wonder of God’s creation. Using watercolour and acrylics Patti expresses this wonder and creates inspirational messages in her paintings.
